FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will my non-gluten-free travel partner(s) feel deprived?

No need to worry! The menu will be locally sourced, meaning you will be enjoying a Mediterranean-style menu. Even non-gluten-free guests are going to love how delicious the food is!

What does a typical cruise itinerary look like?

Our itinerary includes many wonderful ports, including the iconic city of Dubrovnik, vibrant Split and beautiful, historic Korcula. We will also have the opportunity to enjoy Croatia’s natural beauty with visits to Krka National Forest, National Park Mljet, Fun in the Sun swim stops and more.

A typical day sees us sailing and enjoying time on (and in!) the water through the morning and arriving in port in the afternoon.

Are there organized activities planned for each port?

Different than a traditional ocean cruise, touring along the Dalmation Coast does not require you (nor is it recommended) to pre-book tours and activities. The ship will be docked in the heart of each town and the Cruise Manager will review touring options with all the guests. The ports are very conducive to walking and exploring on your own. However, if there is something that you specifically wish to arrange, you may reach out to Suzy suzy@azurebluevacations.com for assistance.

 What beverages are included?

Coffee and tea are available at any time during dining room hours (7am to 11pm). Juices are included at breakfast and filtered water is available 24 hours a day. Any additional beverages may be purchased through the bar and you will pay your bill at the end of the trip.

How should I plan for gratuities?

Gratuities are not required; however, if you find that you have enjoyed the service of the crew, a recommended gratuity of 100 Euro per guest is greatly appreciated and shared among the crew.

Is laundry service available?

There are no laundry facilities onboard the ship; however, there are laundromats in our embarkation and disembarkation ports.

How are meals served?

Breakfast, with hot and cold items, is served buffet-style between the hours of 7am and 9am. Lunch is usually 3 courses (starter, main and dessert) and is served at 1pm.

Is room service available?

Room Service is not provided.

May dinner be purchased on board?

While breakfast and lunches are included, guests are responsible for seeking out dining opportunities in port. Our onboard Cruise Manager can provide some suggestions for popular dinner spots. This is a great way to explore and enjoy all Croatia has to offer.

Are the vessels and ports accessible for those with mobility issues?

Guests will need to be able to navigate stairs onboard the vessel, as well as a narrow gangway to board and disembark the ship. There are no elevators on the ship and the cabins are not wheelchair accessible.

What amenities are included in the room?

All cabins are ensuite (with a shower) and include a writing desk, chair, lamps, safe deposit box, PA system, hairdryer, TV, small closet and under the bed luggage storage. In most cabins, beds can be set up as two singles or 1 double bed.

What if I have other food allergies or sensitivities?

Please let us know about food allergies or sensitivities. We will communicate your needs with the ship’s chef to determine how they may be accommodated.

Is medical aid available onboard?

No, there are no medical personnel onboard the ship. In the case of a medical emergency, the captain will contact the authorities and dock at the nearest port for medical attention.

How do I get my luggage onboard?

The ship’s crew will be available to assist with transferring your luggage onboard.

What about bad weather conditions?

Our experienced captain and trained crew are able to make changes to the route in such situations, taking into account the guests’ comfort and, most importantly, the general safety onboard.
